How did I get here?
All started at the end of 2017 with the convocatory: “Preparing Multicultural Engineers to Cope Global Challenges: An innovative Analysis of a Virtual Manufacturing Training Cell Project as a Gateway to Success”. Sponsored by several organizations, mainly Partners of the Americas and 100,000 Strong in the Americas.
After the selection process, we met with some teachers from Tecnológico de Chihuahua II (university where we studied), and they explained to us that the main reason for this project was to obtain enough knowleadge to develop a project with augmented reality and simulation techniques to train production line operators.
The process
After the stay abroad, once returned to Mexico we organized how to present the project idea to some companies and investors. Unfortunately, for unknown reasons the project did not continue, but without a doubt the experience acquired in all areas was very useful.
This experience was very grateful in a personal and professional way, because during the stay at UC Davis, we learned about hot topics related to technology, opening our minds to see new possibilities in different environments for possible future projects.
Cultural experience
In addition to learning about virtual and augmented reality, simulation and other technologies. We had other cultural experiences where I had the opportunity to know wonderful people and places like Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
